A Look at Dictatorship Essay Topics

A Look at Dictatorship Essay TopicsWith dystopian essays, you are thinking about the future, about the change that is going to take place with our society. And with our culture today, there has been a great deal of change. We have learned that the world that we have seen is not what is to come. This should be reason enough for us to reflect on our present, to learn from it, and to imagine what life will be like in the future. The problems are just as daunting when we enter high school as they are when we leave the junior high school level. We can see so many problems around us, the city, the school, or our own neighborhood. Unfortunately, this does not help us learn how to be more responsible citizens of our society. On the contrary, in most cases, it often leads to feeling that we are to blame for our own poverty, and that we are in some way to blame for the situation in our own lives. In these situations, we think that we should do something. However, the problem is that sometimes, w e simply cannot. We have seen too many examples of people, and even entire cities, that are in dire straights and yet do nothing. They try to look after others, but just cannot give the amount of help that they should be able to give. This is not necessarily a failure of character development; but rather of our current society. So many people think that they are to blame for their own predicament, and they try to do nothing. Sometimes they try to do too much. When we allow this to happen, we make ourselves complacent, we allow ourselves to believe that nothing can be done, and we begin to believe that we are in some sort of hopeless situation. We start to think that we have to change. However, the fact is that this is the same situation we had in high school. We began to think that the way we thought and the way we behaved were wrong, and we had to change. We thought that if we did something, then that would somehow change our situation. There are some good examples of what not to do. For example, we have to remember that it is not fair to condemn another person for something that you yourself have done. In some ways, if someone else does something bad, then it is okay to say that the other person is 'incorrigible'. However, we are not talking about someone else's actions, but rather our own.Another bad example is to think that the problem is with the parents. Often, children are so worried about being homesick, or about being different, that they blame their parents for their predicament. It is not the fault of the parent that they are homesick. Their own condition is what causes them to feel homesick. It is not hard to understand why we cannot solve any of the problems that are currently facing us in high school. We have all failed to do so. Instead, we should continue to think about what we can do, and how we can act.
